Description
The specifications of the new AKK FX2-Dominator video transmitter impress most FPV pilots.
The maximum power of the VTX is 2000mW, which makes it an ideal solution for use on long-range aircraft. Under ideal flight conditions and with a high-quality antenna, the signal transmission range can reach 8 km. To provide this power, the FX2-Dominator is equipped with two massive heat spreaders, which are glued to the PDB using a thermally conductive adhesive. Due to the massive design, the weight is about 18 grams, excluding the antenna.
The AKK FX2-Dominator has a 36 x 36 mm form factor with a standard hole spacing of 30.5 mm. As such, it can be installed as a single stack with your FC or ESC. AKK supplies the transmitter with a cable adapter that uses a 2-pin JST connector to supply voltage (input from 7 to 26V) and a 4-pin connector to connect to your camera/FC (5V).
Instead of LED indication, in this transmitter the AKK reverted to using a display to display information. A short press switches the channel (from 1 to 8), pressing > 2 seconds sets the range (from 1 to 5), and pressing > 4 seconds changes the transmit power (from 1 to 4). Also, the video transmitter supports Smart Audio for on-screen (OSD) tuning.
Note: when using 2W power, it is not recommended to keep the quadcopter idle.
