Description
The Zenuse X5S pan tilt camera adopts the latest generation M4/3 sensor, with a dynamic range of 12.8 gears, and a signal-to-noise ratio and color sensitivity that is one level higher than the previous generation X5R. The X5S supports 8 standard M4/3 lenses, including a zoom lens, with a focal length range of 9mm to 45mm (equivalent focal length of 18mm to 90mm for 35mm frames), providing a wider creative space. Paired with Inspire 2’s high-performance image processor CineCore 2.0, the X5S can support up to 5.2K 30fps CinemaDNG lossless video recording and Apple ProRes video recording, 4K 60fps H.264 and 4K 30fps H.265 video recording (100Mbps), as well as up to 20.8 million pixels of DNG unlimited continuous shooting technology at 20 frames per second. The Zenuse X5S pan tilt camera will set a new performance example for film and television aerial photography technology.
INSPIRE 2 Exclusive Aerial Camera
Compared to the previous generation Inspire 1, Inspire 2 adopts an innovative structural design. The image processing system and storage system (CineCore 2.0) are placed inside the body, and the sensors and optical system are merged into replaceable camera modules, which are connected through quick disconnect interfaces. This design can effectively shield the electromagnetic interference generated by the processor on the sensor, while also providing users with good scalability to meet a variety of aerial photography needs. As one of the first two optional camera modules, the Zenith X5S camera features a new generation M 4/3 sensor and interchangeable lens design, paired with Inspire 2’s image processing system, providing stunning resolution and unimaginable image quality.
New generation M4/3 image sensor
The Zenuse X5S pan tilt camera adopts the latest generation M4/3 sensor, with a single pixel size of 3.3 ?? m. Featuring 20.8 million pixels and 12.8 levels of dynamic range, the signal-to-noise ratio and color sensitivity are both improved by one level compared to the previous generation X5R. The captured images have richer levels and clearer details.
Compatible with more professional lenses
The Zenuse X5S is equipped with a standard M4/3 mount, compatible with 8 professional lenses * (including two zoom lenses), with a focal length range of 9mm-45mm (equivalent focal length of 18mm-90mm for 35mm frames). Specific lenses can be changed for different shooting scenes to achieve rich visual effects and expand image expression.

*Some lenses require the use of counterweight rings, which will be adapted to more lenses in the future
Higher specification video recording
Paired with Inspire 2’s high-performance image processing system CineCore 2.0, the X5S pan tilt camera can record up to 5.2K 30fps 1 CinemaDNG 12bit lossless video * 1, 5.2K 30fps Apple ProRes 422 HQ and 4K 30fps Apple ProRes 24444 XQ (no alpha) video * 2, 4K 60fps H.264 video and 4K 30fps H.264/H.265 Oversampling video (100Mbps)* 1 * 2 requires purchasing authorization
Efficient and convenient workflow
With the help of the DJI CINESSD high-speed storage card (NVMe SSD supporting PCIe 3.0) and the deeply optimized FAT32/exFAT universal file system, image materials captured by X5S can be exported at high speed through the DJI CINESSD STATION reader without the need for additional software, and support standard DIT. Users can choose between CinemaDNG standard workflow or Apple ProRes standard workflow for post-processing of materials.
Amazing high-speed continuous shooting mode
The Zenuse X5S pan tilt camera supports continuous shooting of 20.8 million pixel JPEG+DNG format photos at a speed of 14 frames per second. If paired with a DJI CINESSD high-speed storage card, it can achieve amazing 20 DNG photos with 20.8 million pixels per second for unlimited continuous shooting. In addition, the X5S camera can also capture photos during video recording, accurately capturing moving moments.
Improved stable system
The Zenuse X5S is equipped with a powerful DJI three-axis gimbal stabilization system, which can control the precise operation of the motor through a high-speed processor, compensate for subtle camera movements during flight, and smoothly adjust the camera’s shooting angle. Compared to the small gimbal that adopts a conductive sliding ring structure, the mechanical limit and hidden wire design adopted by the X5S gimbal have better data transmission stability and longer service life. At the same time, the gimbal can move in conjunction with the aircraft’s heading, easily achieving a 360 ?? rotation range. With the help of the new three-point suspension damping structure and lightweight damping plate in Inspire 2, the stability of the Zenith X5S pan tilt camera has been further improved, with a pan tilt control accuracy of up to ?? 0.01 ??. Even when using an equivalent 90mm * 1 lens and high-speed aerial photography videos, stable and clear images can still be obtained * 2.
*1 equivalent 35mm camera standard focal length
*In GPS mode, the exposure time is greater than or equal to 1/160s
Accurate remote focusing
By using the DJI GO 4 app or DJI wireless tracker, you can remotely adjust the focus or aperture of the X5S camera. The use of DJI wireless tracker eliminates the installation of cables and motors, and allows for direct control of the camera’s aperture or focus through DJI Lightbridge, with a distance of up to 7 kilometers.
*This distance is measured in an open and undisturbed outdoor environment, and may be adjusted according to local regulations.
